The Director of High Technology Park took part as part of the Ugra delegation in the events of the National Day of Russian Federation and the Day of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra at the World Expo 2020 Dubai. The events took place from 3^rd to 5^th December within the framework of “Russia: Driving the Future” business forum.

The delegation of the region included heads of departments, development institutes, industrial companies, representatives of the region’s business community.  The Governor of Ugra Natalia Komarova headed the delegation.

The business forum covered a wide range of issued related to Russian-Arab economic and investment cooperation and included presentations on outstanding Russian investment projects aimed at introducing new technologies, developing innovative business models, creating relevant products and services in the field of energy, healthcare, tourism, information technology, transport and finance.

As part of the Day of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra program Artem Stolyarov presented technological solutions and investment proposal of resident-companies of High Technology Park and winners of the Accelerator of technological startups 2021, introduced the infrastructure, directions and results of the activity to support innovative companies in the region.

“Ugra is a source for innovative development and ideas”, Artem Stolyarov noted. High Technology Park is one of the leading state innovative centers of Russia, the main innovative center of Ugra, an institute for the development of technological entrepreneurship, a member of the Association of clusters, technology parks and special economic zones of Russia.

Over the past 3 years High Technology Park has shown steady growth in the leading directions of activity. According to the national rating 2021 Technology Park was included in the Grout I (A+), “The highest level of technology park performance” (over 110%). In addition, Technology Park is one of TOP 10 technology parks in following directions: innovative activity of technology park’s residents, investment attractiveness of the technology park, information transparence of the technology park and its contribution to sustainable development.

For the second year High Technology Park is a regional operator of the Skolkovo Foundation. This status allows a number of Ugra startups to use the services of the Skolkovo Foundation, get tax and custom benefits, apply for monetary support.

The main priorities for Technology Park are fuel and energy complex, building, biotechnologies and information technology. The leading industry priority is the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons. This is due to the specifics of Ugra as an oil and gas production region.

Today, the efficiency of oil and gas production depends on the right technology, which often has to be developed from scratch. In this respect, the activity of High Technology Park residents is in demand and promising. Their innovative projects are aimed at optimizing oil and gas production processes: they suggest and implement new technologies of oil production, develop and promote new materials and equipment.

The economic effect of Technology Park residents’ activities consists in minimizing costs and losses at all stages of the production cycle, in correct and safe extraction of oil and gas reserves.
